We were blessed by attending another church on Sunday, but ALWAYS miss our family here at Community. Great service last night. Mikel sure knows how to deliver God's word! Must be nice knowing you have such an AMAZING team of leaders and volunteers who take care of everything while you are away. JoAnne was greeting people with hugs, Joni was helping to run the ice cream cafe, Steve was handing out programs with his big Cheshire Cat smile, Zach was making people laugh, leading communion, and reminding us all what God did for us. So proud to be a part of this church family. I know God is smiling down and that if our visitors last night didn't know who Jesus was, that they sure do now. Thanks Community! By the way we missed you and Michelle too. See you soon.

Love your neighbor as yourself.

 

I don’t know how it’s going to happen or what it’s going to look like for you. Here are a couple things that might pop up on your “love your neighbor radar.”

 

**Say something loving and encouraging to your spouse, kids or someone you see regularly and tend to take for granted.

 

**Let someone go ahead of you in line even though you’re in a hurry. (Maybe they’re in a hurry too.)

 

**Pick up the tab for a total stranger at a coffee shop or restaurant.

 

**See a need your neighbor on your block has...and meet it.

 

Who knows what God will point out to you, but pay attention and act on it when He does.

Dear Father, I love watching people as they are Stepping In to a relationship with You, Building Up that relationship and Living Out that relationship. Here at Community we are so blessed to see your great commission in action. But Father, I think we have a long, long way to go. Don’t allow us to get too comfortable. I want to keep going. I want to keep making disciples. I want to keep baptizing and teaching. Bring your very presence into our weekend services today and tomorrow. As we gather, prepare us to GO all over again next week.

Dear Father, I struggle reading through these verses because of the pain and horror I see. I just have to again say thank you Lord for loving me so much that You were willing to go through all of this for me. Let me life forever show You that I am grateful. Since You DIED for me, I will LIVE for you.

How amazing, the One who knew firsthand the glory and splendor of heaven was about to be beaten, tortured, mocked and crucified. The One who had every right to say no, said yes. Bottom line, Jesus gives us a powerful example of what it means to put the needs of others before our own comfort, convenience or wants.

 

Living Out: APPLY IT
